QR Codes LIKE Your Facebook Page

QR Codes will play a significant role in the future of social media marketing.  The concept is very simple: these graphic representations of digital links instantly connect mobile devices to your social media marketing.  What's not to like about that?

In a previous post, I covered in detail how QR Codes are being used now, along with some ideas for using them to connect with your communities – and for providing them with valuable information that will engage them more with you and your small business.

Facebook LIKE in a QR Code

One of the most powerful social media tools available to marketers today is the Facebook LIKE button. It integrates friends with your business – and to each other.  Now you can more easily accomplish the desirable action of LIKE-ing your Facebook page through a QR Code.

Likify is a free service that not only allows you to create a QR Code for liking your Facebook Page, but to also insert an image that clearly identifies the targeted source.  Above is the QR Code, and just below is an image of what you will see when you use your iPhone or other mobile device to scan the QR Code for my Facebook Page.

Yes, by all means – I just set up my page this week, so please go ahead and LIKE it!  You can scan it right from your screen using the QR app that Likify offers, or with i-Nigma 4, which is the iPhone app that I prefer for its reliability and speed.

The Future of QR Codes

The potential for QR Codes is limitless.  Google has already incorporated them into their Google Places. They now provide local businesses with a sticker to place on their door that when scanned, leads to the website of that business.

These codes can be easily scanned through glass windows or doors.  And it only takes a few seconds.

Where could QR Codes be be used?

  • The back of your business card.
  • Your brochures and other marketing materials.
  • The sides of your trucks and trailers.
  • Product tags and packaging
  • Convention and event nametags
  • Restaurant menus
  • Event ticket stubs

What could QR Codes link to?

  • Installation instructions
  • Sources for replacement parts and service
  • Directions to your business
  • The process for hiring your professional services
  • Valuable coupons and special offers
  • Recommendations for complementary products and services
  • Free downloads

As I said, the possibilities are unlimited.

All you need to create a QR Code is a digital link.

The Facebook LIKE button link to your community just happens to be one of them.

If this has been useful – leave a comment below or share it with YOUR friends by clicking the Facebook Like button.

If you prefer, scan the QR Code above to LIKE my Facebook Page where you can join my New Media and Small Business Marketing Community

Until tomorrow, Jeff
